We ensure that our ENs meet all legal and professional requirements according to Australian Standards of law and healthcare regulations.

Legal and Professional Requirements:

To practice as a ENs in Australia, candidates must:

  • Qualifications
    • Hold a Diploma of Nursing or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
  • Registration
    • Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), part of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA).
    • Maintain current registration status with no restrictions on practice.
  • Professional Standards
    • Adhere to the NMBA’s professional standards, codes, and guidelines, including the Code of Conduct for Nurses and the Enrolled Nurse Standards for Practice.
    • Commit to ongoing professional development and education to stay current with best practices and advancements in healthcare.
  • Work Rights
    • Possess the right to work in Australia, with appropriate visa status if applicable.
  • Police and Background Checks
    • Undergo a National Police Check.
    • Complete Working with Vulnerable People card (WVP).
    • Pass additional background checks as necessary for specific healthcare environments.
